Berry Bros & Rudd

Berry Bros. & Rudd have long and rich history – dating back to the company’s foundation in 1698.  Each year the wine merchant commissions an artist to design the label of its iconic house red: ‘Good Ordinary Claret’.

In 2020 the honour fell to Poppy Lennox who used gold leaf, paint, a drill and needlework to create her design on a deconstructed wooden BB&R wine crate. The final piece was then photographed and labels printed from there. Chris Floyd latest film documents Poppy’s work for BB&R – showing a ‘start to finish’ progression of her design.
